Our program

The Foundation of the Program

Elite rams begin with elite females.

At Double Eagle Exotic Ranch, our breeding ewes are the cornerstone of everything we produce. From the very start, our program was built without compromise—every ewe in our herd traces back to 50-inch-plus ram genetics, a rare foundation chosen intentionally to support long-term horn growth and consistency.

Our ewe herd spans multiple generations, from young replacements to proven cornerstone females that continue producing exceptional offspring well beyond typical expectations. One such ewe, now 15 years old, remains a vital part of the program after raising multiple rams in the upper 40-inch range—a testament to durability, fertility, and genetic strength.

These ewes are paired thoughtfully through live breeding and artificial insemination, ensuring each match supports structure, horn potential, and longevity. They are not placeholders in the program—they are the engine behind it.

Every future SCI-caliber ram raised at Double Eagle starts here.

Experience That Runs Generations Deep

Breeding and advanced reproductive work are not new ventures for our family—they are a way of life. For more than three decades, our operation has been shaped by hands-on expertise, innovation, and a relentless pursuit of genetic excellence.

Earl Peacock began performing embryo transfer work at just 19 years old. Now, with 31 years of experience, he remains one of the most respected practitioners in the industry. Notably, he is the only non-licensed individual permitted to perform embryo transfer work on outside animals—a distinction earned through decades of proven results. While regulations have evolved, his role has not diminished; today, he works in partnership with a licensed veterinarian while continuing to lead the technical execution of our reproductive program.

At Double Eagle, Earl & Ethan offer a full suite of advanced reproductive services, including embryo transfer, artificial insemination, and in-house semen collection and freezing. These capabilities allow us to maintain complete control over genetic quality and long-term breeding outcomes.

Our breeding program is intentionally structured for both performance and longevity:

  • Younger rams (under two years old) are live-bred to establish foundational genetics.

  • Mature rams are managed for maximum horn development, with semen collected and used to artificially inseminate select ewes.

This approach allows us to preserve prime genetics while pushing horn growth and consistency across generations.
